Apple this week announced the recall of the A/C power adapter sold with it's brand new 3G iPhone. Those who bought the phone in certain countries including the United States and Canada, are affected and will be needing to get a replacement adapter when the replacement becomes available on October 10th. Until that date, Apple is urging affected iPhone users to not use the adapter, and instead charge the phone through your computers USB port.
The problem apparently lies with the fact that some users have experienced the prongs breaking off, and remaining inside the A/C power plug. Definitely not a good thing! I actually had to replace mine about two weeks ago, because it quite working, and in fact it was producing a low electrical shock when I would pick up the phone.
