Sketching of slots in 2009 gets 1000X easier thanks to an all new slot tool. The tool gives you four different slot sketching options: Straight Slot, Center point Straight Slot, Three Point Arc Slot, and Center Point Arc Slot. You also have the ability to add dimensions to the slot your sketching by either center to center, or overall length.
You can add any or all of the four different slot types to your shortcut tool bar.

Hi Mike - I am currently evaluating SW 2008, and am intrigued by the new features in 2009, especially the Solid to Sheet Metal command. My work also involves creating LOTS of slots, but mine actually need to break the edge of the solid to allow for sliceform-style dovetailing. Is this sort of thing possible with the new Slot Tool?
