in solidworks 2009 PR1 the rays of the directional light are not parallel and thus do not simulate a light source at infinity. In this respect your help file gives false information for this light type. It is impossible to render realistic large objects in simulated daylight as the rendered shadows are not realistic. it is impossible to enclose a .jpg file with the result of the rendering.
